Knee Replacement

Knee replacement surgery, also known as knee arthroplasty, is an orthopaedical surgical procedure wherein damaged or worn out components of the knee joint are replaced with artificial components referred to as prostheses or better as implants. The objective is to alleviate pain and improve day to day mobility.
This may not be the first line of treatment, however where conservative treatments like medication, physical therapy, or injections have not been able to achieve the results with respect to pain relief and dysfunction, it the option that needs to be considered.
The parts of the joint are replaced by artificial implants made of materials like metals, ceramic and plastic. The components are designed to provide improved mobility with least discomfort.
Knee Arthroscopy:
Knee arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure where a small camera (arthroscope) is inserted into the knee joint to diagnose or treat various knee problems. It allows surgeons to visualize the inside of the knee on a monitor and use miniature surgical instruments to repair or remove damaged tissue.
Arthroscopy can help diagnose conditions like torn meniscus, damaged ligaments, and cartilage problems.
Arthroscopy has decreased risk of infection & a faster recovery in comparison to open surgery.
Knee Arthroplasty
Knee replacement is a procedure of reconstruction of a knee that has been affected by arthritis or a severe knee injury. The worn-out knee joint surfaces are scraped and capped with high-quality metal alloys and plastic parts.
